I’ve been planning to transfer our money from Bank of America to a local credit union since last month. Then in one day, Bank of America charged us an unjustifiable $9 fee (for transferring our own money between our own accounts electronically ourselves) and I caught a radio interview detailing their culpability in sub-prime mortgages, disproportionate targeting of black home owners for foreclosure/eviction, and unparalleled investment in dirty coal mining practices. Sufficed to say, now I REALLY can’t wait to get my money out of their hands by the end of the month!
